Sometimes, a missing tooth requires a more permanent solution than a bridge. Dental implants are that solution.

Dr. McDonald works with an implant placement specialist to create an implant for a missing single tooth, missing multiple teeth, or replace a removable appliance. A dental implant requires the placing of a titanium root form in the edentulous (missing tooth) space. After a healing period in which the jaw bone attaches to the titanium root form, an aesthetically pleasing and functional prosthetic tooth is attached to the implant.
